Cooper and Millas – Hawksburn

Orange Cake with Raspberry Icing and
Lemon Meringue Tart

Today I was walking down Malvern Road, Hawksburn with my cousin Carol when the window of Cooper and Millas caught our eye…we went into the store and on further investigation discovered a world of the most delicious food imaginable.

We decided to try a couple of cakes from their selection (very difficult) as they all looked so yummy and beautifully presented but choose the cakes pictured above….we hurried home with our package, put the kettle on, took some pictures of the cakes before halving them so we could try a piece of each…all you could hear after this was our cries of “this is delicious, oh these cakes are devine, absolutely beautiful” and there you have it Cooper and Millas is well worth a visit if you are ever in the Hawksburn Village area…I myself will be making up excuses to go back there!

Finders Keepers Market Today

Here are some photos of the Itchy Bird Finders Keepers Market Stall I had the pleasure of helping out on today.

The market was buzzing…the taco caravan was doing great business…I had a delicious taco with coleslaw, fish with a squeeze of lime juice and some poppy mayonnaise…devine.
Come visit us tomorrow…beautiful resin pendants, original cards that are very funny amongst other things.

Cyclamen

We had a sad event in our household last week…the passing of my Father In Law. Very sweet friends sent us this beautiful Cyclamen plant to say their thoughts were with us and I just love it…so put it on my desk so I can enjoy it’s beauty whilst I’m working.

April Madison Mag

Pictures: Madison Magazine

I just picked up the latest Madison Magazine with Gwynneth Paltrow on the
cover (April 2011) and fell completely in love with Designer and Founder of fashion label Sambag Sam Wagner’s house in Sydney’s Woollahra.
I love the industrial look coupled with the soft feminine furniture, especially the pink sofa, pink cushions and the green ceramic drum side table. In the kitchen the grey cupboards and iron window panes are stunning….hmmm might have to start redecorating soon…

Beerenberg Farm

On the weekend I was in Adelaide and came across the amazing Beerenberg Farm in the Adelaide Hills. They sell lots of different products at the farm door from delicious tomato sauce to different kinds of chutney, jams, sticky rib sauce, chocolate dessert sauce….the list of products is to long to mention…all delicious!

They have tastings so you can try before you buy.
Well worth a visit if you find yourself in that part of the world, we bought two litres of the tomato sauce, a jar of hot tomato chutney, African Spice Taka Tala chutney (which everybody loves) and a jar of beautiful strawberry jam to smear on our toast in the morning.
Can’t wait to visit again!
